Mixed Colour Coturnix Quail Hatching Eggs.
ABOUT US
Im sure you've read about us and this already but here it is again.
Here’s our background story! You know how it goes, you buy some eggs to hatch to show the children, and they get bored after a while… well that’s what I thought would happen!! Turns out it’s quite the opposite. THEY LOVE THEM!
So we hatch a few more and a few more and now we have loads of eggs. And all although we pickle some and give some to the neighbors it’s more than we can eat (and hatch) the children are just old enough to learn and have an interest in money and pocket money and we thought what better way to teach them about it and give them a bit more responsibility than to let them sell some eggs properly. We really enjoy having the quail and it gets the kids outside doing things whatever the weather.
The quail themselves are a beautiful mix of colors and are ultra-friendly, they are kept very clean, and they get a diet of mixed seeds, chick crumb, layers mash, fresh homegrown salad, and kale every day 🥒🥬. Most eggs are normal in color but some are blue as well two of our boys are both from a blue eggs strain and about 1/3 of the female babies go on to lay blue eggs.

As a side note, as in all egg listings that we’ve ever bought we can’t offer a refund on eggs that don’t hatch as there are just to many factors that are out of our control, like what Incubator you use, where it’s sited, how much water you use, how many times the eggs are turned and the temperature to name but a few. These along with the postal system can all have an impact on hatch rates of what are good fertile eggs. We hatch regularly so we know they are good and we really wouldn’t list them for sale otherwise. Damaged eggs on arrival though are a different matter, if there is something that we have done wrong during the packaging stage that has led to damaged or broken eggs we are more than happy to replace them. As said though, please get in touch first or during incubation for help on what works best for us.
All eggs will be packaged safely and securely, labeled and wrapped in fragile tape, and are posted Monday to Thursday, the eggs themselves are collected daily in the afternoon and should all be from the day you buy them. The post office is just down the road so if they are bought in the morning we’ll try and get that day's eggs in the post to you the same day.
Sadly due to the world having another funny five minutes and the price of feed, fuel, electricity, shavings, postage, and just about everything else going, up I’m afraid we’ve had to have a slight increase in the cost of the eggs… We are biased I know but we still really think they are well worth the money.
Any questions please feel free to message us, and we’ll help as much as we can.
